What do you do with your Christmas tree after you finally take it down? It's a good idea to recycle it, rather than just chucking it in the dumpster.  The City of Loveland Parks and Recreation Department urges residents to recycle their Christmas trees at these convenient drop-off sites:

  • Centennial Park (parking lot just east of Taft Ave along 1st Street)
  • Kroh Park (north of 50th Street east of Highway 287 north)

Drop off sites are open from sun-up to sun-down Dec. 22 through Jan. 31. Signs at both parks will direct drivers to tree drop-offs. Please remove ornaments, tinsel, tree stands and tree bags before recycling. This service is provided to residents free of charge.

Trees can also be taken to the city’s Recycling Center with a current Yard Waste permit. For more information on recycling your tree at the Recycling Center, call 962-2529.
