What Is the Fascination With These ‘Sharknado’ Movies?

I am the first to admit that the Syfy channel is one of my favorite channels, but not for the movies, that's for sure. So why did I waste hours watching Sharknado 3?
The Syfy channel does have some great shows I watch like Face Off, old episodes of the Twilight Zone, Troy-Street Magic and a few others. They also have some great movies from time to time but for the most part, the movies are H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!

So why in the world do I/we watch them? My daughter and I agreed last night (she came over just to say hello and we both got sucked in) that it's the only movie you have to laugh at when people die? Are we going to hell for that?

There are some that are more real than others, like Dinocroc vs. Supergator, Now, when I say "more real," I simply mean that hybrid animals are more of a possibility than sharks flying around in tornado's. Right?

These Sharknado movies though take the cake. Yes, I watched the first two and then the third one last night and I"m sure I will get sucked into watching the fourth one because hey, I want to see how people vote on the fate of Tara Reid!

By the way, she has to be one of the worse actresses, everrrrrr.

The cast of Sharknado 3 though is pretty impressive. From Playboy bunnies to just about everyone including cameo's and minor roles by Mark Cuban, Bo Derek (who played Tara Reid's mother,) David Hasselhoff, Michael Winslow (Police Academy), Chris Jericho (roller coaster ride attendant,) Ann Coulter, Bill Engvall, Robert Klein (NY Mayor,) Jerry Springer, Penn and Teller, Chad Johnson and Jared "Subway" Fogle just to name a few, literally.

The best part is that we are now going to be treated to something that could be even worse than these Sharknado movies. Are we really ready for Lavalantula? I can't wait (joking) to see fire breathing tarantulas with the cast of Police Academy in the movie.
