What Ever Happened to ’90s Country Star Pam Tillis?
During the 90s Pam Tillis was as hot as any female country artist and was one of my favorites. She had 12 top-ten singles and her biggest hit, "Mi ida Loca (My Crazy Life)" went number one. At the end of the 90s Pam gave acting a try and appeared in episodes of "Promised Land", "Diagnosis Murder", and "L.A. Law". She didn't have huge success musically after the 90s, but did release a collection of her father's songs in 2002 called, "It's All Relative: Tillis Sings Tillis".
According to Wikipedia, here are a few highlights since then:
- In 2007, Tillis launched her own Record label, Stellar Cat Records. Her first album, "RhineStoned", was released in April 2007. Her second album on Stellar Cat Records Just in Time for Christmas, was released on November 13, 2007.
- In 2012, she released "Recollection", which was a greatest hits album of fourteen re-recorded singles from her time at Arista Records.
- Pam Tillis released a duets album with Lorrie Morgan in 2013, called "Grits and Glamour".
You will hear some Pam Tillis on K99 this weekend as we take you back to the 90s with our "Throwback Memorial Day Weekend".
