Mosquitoes infected with the West Nile virus are showing up in Longmont. Insects from five traps collected over the weekend have tested positive for West Nile. This is the third week in a row that infected mosquitoes have been found. The city of Longmont and Boulder County are spraying infected areas. No human cases of West Nile have been reported in Boulder County this season but there is one confirmed human case in Delta County on the Western Slope.
