In Greeley and Weld County, residents are helping their neighbors with a hand up. From noon- 4:30 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 17), hundreds of volunteers will gather at Island Grove Park in Greeley (North 14th Avenue and D Street) for the fourth annual Weld Project Connect.  Weld County residents are invited to attend this one-day event and receive free services from more than 50 health and human service agencies and community organizations.

Examples of free services at the event include birth certificates, flu and tetanus shots, tuberculosis (TB) testing, medical screenings, haircuts, legal help, resume writing, and informal access to Greeley Municipal court. Free child care (ages 12 months - 6 years) will also be available onsite during the event and bus service is free in Greeley and Evans that day.

Last year, Weld Project Connect served nearly 1,000 residents.
