The Veterans Day event schedule at the Weld County Veterans Memorial on 11 November has been moved. Weather will be a factor so the ceremonies will now be indoors.

Due to a weather forecast that actually resembles Winter in November, Colonel Stan Cass and the committee for the Veterans Day celebration in Greeley have decide to move the event indoors.

The Veterans Day ceremony will now be held at the Exhibition Building (525 N 15th Ave.) at Island Grove starting at 11:00 a.m.. All is the same except the location.

The day is going to be special as he has asked Pete Martinez to come to the event to play the song he wrote to honor our Veterans called "We Thank You" which should be one of the many highlights of the day.

There will also be music from the Brentwood Middle School band, which I have a found heart for since my daughter played trumpet in that very band years ago. The special speaker of the day will be MG Edwards. Also in attendance will be the Weld County Sheriff's office who will present the colors and the Honor Guard will be from the Keensburg American Legion. The ceremony will also call to attention the Colorado Patriot Guard who are the official motorcycle escort for Honor Flight Northern Colorado.

Greeley Mayor Tom Norton will also be there do deliver the proclamation and I'm guessing we'll also hear from Colonel Stan Cass as well who was the main force in getting the donations to build the Memorial itself.
