We Checked This Weekend and Our Corn is Knee High By the 4th of July?

There is an old expression around the cornfields that your corn should be knee high by the 4th of July. I had always heard the expression but never really took my knees out to the field to measure. If you are a professional basketball player I am guessing that having your corn reach your knees by the fourth would be a big of stretch but when you are a 3 year old little boy growing his garden, it is a very attainable goal.

This year my grandsons Zander and Zayden have had big plans for their garden. We let them plant one each year and have them tend to it to see how things grow and they just love it. My wife was even eating peas from the garden the boys grew yesterday. We had Zayden stand in his little cornfield to measure and according to the knees of a three year old....we are in for a bountiful crop. How is your garden doing?
