Water in Loveland Smells but is Safe to Drink

The water in Loveland may taste and smell funny, but it is safe to drink.  Loveland’s water usually comes from the Big Thompson River, but since the floods the water is now coming from the Green Ridge Glade Reservoir.    Loveland Water officials say the Green Ridge Glade Reservoir has an outbreak of algae that makes the water smell.
The water meets all state and federal water standards.
