Comedy isn't pretty and it isn't easy. I tried to teach my grandson Zander that this weekend. He was out doing yard work with me when we decided to take a break. He turned to me and asked if I wanted to hear a joke. I said I would love to. He said "Have you seen a giraffe drive a car?" I said "no". He then started to laugh. I said "was that the joke?" He told me it was. I let him know that it wasn't funny and that we needed to work on his comedy skills. I told him the important thing is timing and delivery. He had no idea what I was saying.

I decided I would try to teach him how to tell a joke and started with the most basic of "knock knock" jokes. Check out this adorable video of him attempting his first "knock knock" joke.
