We are always trying to find ways to improve our physical health. We do different diets or join a gym or something to get more active. That is all fantastic but don't forget about your mind and doing things to make your mental health better as well. There are many things you can do to improve your mental health. One of them is getting enough good, quality sleep and another is protecting yourself from negative energy.

I don't want to get all "hippie vibe' on you but negative energy can destroy you and we are surrounded by it all the time. I just finished a great vacation in Disneyland, the happiest place on earth, and although I know that Disney had something to do with my eased state of mind, I know another reason for it. I avoided the news and Facebook for an entire week. I was not inundated with peoples angry posts or complaining. I did not have my ears assaulted by the media telling what is awful in the world. I just focused on my immediate surroundings and  the happiness of myself and those within my realm of ability to influence.

Seriously, do this test. Take yourself off of Facebook and quit staring at the news for a week and you will feel 50 pounds lighter and your mind will actually thank you and encourage you to smile more often. I promise you results.
