Waking Up With A Contact Lens Stuck To The Roof Of My Mouth – Brian’s Blog
I have been a contact lens wearer for decades now. I have struggled with them from time to time. Anyone who wears them knows there are times you get a little dust in them or a speck of something and it can drive you nuts. I am guessing I am not the only one who has taken out my lens and put it in my mouth to moisten it and then slap it back in the eye. I had a friend who did this even while he had a mouth full of Copenhagen. Now that would burn. I have a cousin who once went to put lens lube in and it was actually super glue. She had to have the lens cut off her eyeball. Ouch!
Yesterday I was taking a nap when I woke up to fell something just below my eye. I reached up and found my contact laying on my cheek. I did not want to get up and go the bathroom to put it in solution so I just put it in my mouth and went back to sleep. I woke up an hour or so later and couldn't figure out what was stuck to the roof of my mouth. I then remembered what I had done. I scraped the lens off my dry mouth, rinsed it and put it back in my eye good as new.
Where have you put your contacts that they shouldn't have been?
