Virginia Tech Coach Buzz Williams Teaches Respect for Our National Anthem [VIDEO]

I am so grateful for Virginia Tech basketball coach Buzz Williams. I saw a piece on the Inspiremore website about him that just hit me right in the heart and had to share with you. We should all respect our national anthem and Coach Williams took matters into his own hands to teach a very important lesson that every athlete should take to heart.

I grew up in Minnesota in the early 1970's when the Minnesota Vikings were in their glory. The Vikings were known for being a great team but were also known for something else. They were actually very well known for the way they would line up and stand for our national anthem. Coach Bud Grant demanded they show respect and stand properly for the anthem. He would even practice it. It was very important to him and was something Viking fans were always proud.of. These days you will see some athletes squirm around during the anthem and not stand at attention. Coach Williams had noticed some of his team had been doing that and wanted to teach them a very important lesson. Check out the fantastic video here. Thank you coach.
