Boy did yesterday's storm escalate quickly in Greeley. Now just other day I wrote a blog about how Greeley never seems to get the severe weather...I was proven wrong yesterday.

On Wednesday I picked up my truck that had been in for repairs from a little fender bender I had. We had it in the shop to get fixed and get a new windshield put in while my wife is camping in Yellowstone. My daughter Vanessa and I were put in charge of caring for the animals and the plants and garden. We were so proud of how well we were doing..until yesterday happened.

My garage is packed full of my grandkids junk and some of ours as well. I am able to fit my Harley and the kids battery powered fire truck in there and that is about it. When the rain started yesterday, Vanessa and I both feared hail so we ran to garage to try to make room to at least get the front of the truck in if it started to hail. We are lucky we did. We saved the truck but the rest of the vehicles and the plants did not fair so well. I don't think we will be having any strawberries this year.

The kids inflatable pool did not make it either.

Thank you to my daughter for putting on my motorcycle helmet and running out in the hail to try to cover the tomatoes. She got her finger busted up pretty good by a big hail stone. Cool injury. Hope you all did okay in the storm. I know there is going to be a lot of hail damage from this one. To my wife Kyla, sorry honey, we really tried.
