Here is this weeks interview with World War II veteran, Tech Sgt. George Goodell. Mr. Goodell is a native of Colorado and has some great stories.

My Veterans History Project continues this week with United States Air Force and Army veteran, Tech Sgt. George Goodell.

Mr. Goodell was first drafted as a member of the United States Air Force. It was when he came home on a furlough that Uncle Sam decided to move him into the United States Army. George served under General Walker who was one of Patton's right hand guys and not only saw his fair share of combat in World War II but also in World War I. George was at the Battle of the Buldge as a half-track driver for General Walker and he too saw his fair share of World War II.

If you or someone you know would like to share your story, I would love to sit down and record it for future generations to see as these videos will all be submitted to the Library of Congress as part of their Veterans History Project. Any veteran is elgibile and I will set interviews with the following priority:

  • Terminally ill from any conflict
  • World War II
  • Korean War
  • Vietnam War
  • All current/modern conflicts

. . . Next week's interview will be with World War II Army veteran Leo Weaver . . .
