Vestas Makes More Layoffs in Colorado
Vestas Wind Systems is closing its research and development office in Louisville, and about 60 people will lose their jobs.

The company has cited a decrease in wind-turbine orders stemming from the impending expiration of a federal tax credit on electricity generated from wind. Vestas still has four plants in Colorado — including a blade factory in Windsor. Vestas has eliminated about 400 total jobs in the state since August and now has a workforce of about 11-hundred employees. Read more here: Reporter Herald
