Vestas, the largest manufacturer of wind turbines in the world, has laid off about 80 employees from its Brighton blade manufacturing plant as part of planned company wide layoffs announced earlier in the year.

According to the Greeley Tribune: More layoffs are expected to come this week. The company’s Windsor employees are scheduled for a mandatory meeting tomorrow (Thursday), in which certain employees were told to stay home. Just months ago, the company announced 3,700 layoffs worldwide by the end of the year.
