U.S. Embassies Across the Middle East Under Attack – 7 American’s Dead So Far

(Story corrected 9/14, 7:56pm to reflect 9 Embassies being attacked; not 18)

I have started paying closer attention to all of our American Embassies that have been attacked, being attacked or future attacks.  9 of them so far. I’m confused, how long do we sit and watch before taking some kind of action, any action.

Chanting “death to America,” hundreds of protesters angered by an anti-Islam film stormed the US Embassy compound in Yemen’s capital and burned the American flag Thursday adding to the latest in a series of attacks on American diplomatic missions in the Middle East. Yemen is home to al Qaida’s most active branch so that is real comforting.

9 U.S. Embassies have been ATTACKED!

The U.S. said late Friday it would send 50 Marines to reinforce security at the embassy in Khartoum, Sudan’s capital, where the Arabic news service al-Arabiya reported three people were killed Friday afternoon in a protest.

A mob of Libyans already attacked the US consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi on Tuesday, killing American Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

In Tunisia, two people — at least one of them a protester — were killed and 29 others were injured outside the U.S. Embassy in Tunis, the Health Ministry said. An American School was also set on fire.

In Egypt, protesters were clashing with police near the US Embassy in Cairo for the third day in a row today.

God bless those 50 Marines but how about some Shock N Awe!
