My son Cade lost a friend recently. Tyler Kauffman, a student at Greeley West high school, lost his battle with depression and funds are needed for his burial.

Tyler Kaufmann had battled depression for a long time and took his life on January 28 leaving behind a single mom and three sisters. Talking with my son Cade, he said you never would have known he was depressed. Always the life of the party and making kids laugh all the time.

That's the scariest part of depression, sometimes we just don't see it until it's too late.

This Saturday, February 7, I am going to fire up my bike and ride in his memory and help raise some much need money. I hope that you will consider joining me in saying goodbye to this young man and helping this Mother raise some money to bury her son in a proper and dignified manner.

The run begins at The Green Mill Tavern (3419 State St.) in Evans at 11:00 a.m. The forecast should be in the 60's with lots of sunshine so come on out and let's kick in a few dollars for this families son and brother.

Stops include:

  • Green Mill Tavern
  • VFW in Greeley
  • Cruisers Bar
  • Key Largo Lounge
  • The New Plantation
The run ends at The New Plantation with some prizes and a silent auction. For more information, check in with the event page on Facebook.
