Another day of waking up and wondering what has happened to the world we live in. How many lives have to be violently taken from us? Have we all gone completely mad? I am terrified every day for myself and for what kind of world my grandchildren are growing up in. Last nights shootings in Dallas have really hit me hard.

There is no denying there are some bad cops. There are bad doctors, bad lawyers, bad mechanics and bad people in all professions. I cannot defend the actions of the officers in some of these shootings of late but I was not there. I do know that I have the utmost respect and love for the men and women in blue and do not hold them all accountable for the actions of a few bad ones. The bad ones need to be held accountable for their actions LEGALLY and let our justice system deal with them. More killing does not solve anything or come close to calming any of our problems. Killing innocent people is just plain wrong no matter who it is. I would find it very hard to be a police officer in today's world. People are so unpredictably violent that trying to serve and protect us has to be harder than ever to do.

We must find peace among us. We cannot wait for someone to lead us or direct us to peace...we need to find it ourselves and live it. We must be examples of what we want the world to be. I don't have any answers to this one. I am just a man who is more and more frightened every day of this world and the people in it. I pray for peace and understanding and plan on spending my time on this earth loving and laughing and trying to pass that energy on to others. We need each other now more than ever. We are Americans and need to value ALL lives, black, white, blue, gray, peach, yellow, gay, straight, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, man, women or child. We all matter. Let your love flow.
