The drivers of the semi trucks reported that their windshields had been chipped while they were parked at the stop, off of Interstate 25. Normally, this probably would not raise much alarm, however, there have been several reports of damaged windshields and their possible connection the the three recent shootings in Northern Colorado.

On April 22, a 20-year-old Milliken woman was struck in the neck by a bullet, which traveled through her driver's side window as she was travelling south on I-25 near Windsor. A handful of other shattered car windows in the area followed, and last week, a driver reported that the driver's side window was shattered as they were travelling near the Berthoud exit on I-25, just miles from Johnson's Corner. Authorities do not believe that incident is related to the others, however.

The Loveland Reporter Herald stated that task force investigators are looking into the reports at Johnson's Corner but no formal connection has been made.
