Tribute to a Firefighter [VIDEO]
We’ve seen a lot of grateful people these past few weeks supporting the firefighters fighting the High Park Fire in Colorado, and I came across TWO great examples. One is a prayer, the other a video. Both are great.
Come in and take a look!

About 2,000 firefighters- from around here and from far away- have been in northern Colorado since June 9th when the High Park Fire broke out. Now that the fire is nearly contained, I wanted to post a couple of tributes I’ve seen these past few weeks.
First up-
THE FIREMAN’S PRAYER:
When I am called to duty, God
whenever flames may rage,
Give me the strength to save some life
Whatever be its age.
Help me to embrace a little child
Before it’s too late,
… Or some older person
from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert
And hear the weakest shout,
And quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling
and give the best in me,
To guard my neighbor
And protect his property.
And if according to Your will
I have to lose my life,
Please bless with Your protecting hand
My children and my wife
I love that.
Second- I got a call right after the fire broke out. The woman told me that these guys- The Coleman Brothers, had coincidentally just released a song and video saluting firefighters.
Tribute to a firefighter:
The Coleman Brothers are donating a portion of the proceeds from the single’s sale to the wildfire relief fund! Cool! You can get it on iTunes!
Thanks to EACH and EVERY firefighter!!!!!
