We've seen a lot of grateful people these past few weeks supporting the firefighters fighting the High Park Fire in Colorado, and I came across TWO great examples.  One is a prayer, the other a video.  Both are great.

Come in and take a look!

About 2,000 firefighters- from around here and from far away- have been in northern Colorado since June 9th when the High Park Fire broke out.  Now that the fire is nearly contained, I wanted to post a couple of tributes I've seen these past few weeks.

First up-

THE FIREMAN'S PRAYER:

When I am called to duty, God
whenever flames may rage,
Give me the strength to save some life
Whatever be its age.

Help me to embrace a little child
Before it’s too late,
... Or some older person
from the horror of that fate.

Enable me to be alert
And hear the weakest shout,
And quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out.

I want to fill my calling
and give the best in me,
To guard my neighbor
And protect his property.

And if according to Your will
I have to lose my life,
Please bless with Your protecting hand
My children and my wife

I love that.

Second- I got a call right after the fire broke out.  The woman told me that these guys- The Coleman Brothers, had coincidentally just released a song and video saluting firefighters.

Tribute to a firefighter:

The Coleman Brothers are donating a portion of the proceeds from the single's sale to the wildfire relief fund!  Cool! You can get it on iTunes!

Thanks to EACH and EVERY firefighter!!!!!
