Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall Coming To Fort Collins Tomorrow

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Collins Police Services, Loveland Police Department and Berthoud Police Department will be joining the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association tomorrow (Wednesday, May 22), in escorting the traveling Vietnam Wall memorial through Larimer County for display at the Veterans Plaza in Spring Canyon Community Park, which is on Horsetooth Road at the west end of town.
The Wall is an 80% replica of the actual Vietnam Memorial located in Washington, D.C. The memorial will be on display May 23rd through May 27th. There will be a special ceremony on Saturday, May 25th at 11:30 a.m. at the Veterans Plaza.
The local agencies will join the memorial motorcade Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 p.m. at I-25 and Highway 56. The memorial will travel west on Highway 56, north on County Road 17 and west on Horsetooth Road to Spring Canyon Community Park.
The Veterans Plaza pays homage to ALL U. S. Military Service Members with honorable service, past, present, and future. Any veteran, from any state, maybe listed on the Veterans Plaza Wall for no charge.
