Trader Joe’s Opens 3 Stores in Colorado
'They' say if you've never been to a Trader Joe's, it's a real different way to shop for groceries? I've never been to a Trader Joe's, but have been perusing their website to find out why it's unlike other food stores. Here's what it said:
- √ NO artificial flavors or preservatives
- √ NO synthetic colors
- √ NO MSG
- √ NO genetically modified ingredients
- √ NO partially hydrogenated oils (artificial trans-fats)
- √ NO "marketing" costs
- √ YES tasting panel approval
- √ YES quality ingredients
- √ YES great price
I found that Trader Joe's is a specialty grocer based out of California. Most all the food they sell is their own private label including gourmet, organic, imported, and environmentally friendly.
What I didn't find was any reason to switch from my King Soopers.
Trader Joe's will open 3 Colorado stores this Friday, one in Greenwood Village, one in Boulder, and a store in Denver.
According to the Denver Business Journal future stores are coming to Denver and Fort Collins.
