Today my wife has to say goodbye to her coffee buddy Fritz. Fritz was 96 years old and one of my wife’s best buddies. She has always been great with our seniors and loves the coffee conversations she has with our elders. Our seniors have so much to offer and always have great stories and wisdom to offer. Listen closely to them. They have been there and done that and paved the way for us. We are who we are and have the things we have because of the world they have made for us.

My wife had a day off a few days ago and said she was going to try to get together with Fritz for coffee. Life got busy that day and she was not able to make it too coffee, now just a few days later, Fritz passed away. I know she wishes she would’ve gone to see him one more time. Fact is, you never know when the last time will come.

I called my parents last night and told them how much I love them and today I will call my grandma. I have gotten into the habit of just calling people or emailing them when they pop in my head. It doesn’t take much. Just a little message or note that says “I’m thinking of you” can go a long way.

Tell those that matter to you how much they mean to you today…tomorrow may be too late.
