Former sheriff's deputy Tom Fallis has been found not guilty of second-degree murder.

Fallis, now 36, was charged in the death of his wife, Ashley Fallis, after a New Year's Eve party at their Evans home in 2012, CBS Denver reports.

Fallis' death was initially ruled suicide, but her parents wanted her death to be reexamined. After hearing conflicting testimony over the past 2 weeks, jurors ruled out murder and found Tom Fallis not guilty.
