My wife and I love to go out for breakfast on Sunday morning! We like to sleep in late then mosey on down to Old Town and find a nice place to eat. Very recently we found good one, no make that a great one! My new favorite breakfast spot in Fort Collins is:

The Basic Brie Galette

La Creperie of Fort Collins! It is a little French café specializing in galettes (Buckwheat crepes) and sweet crepes! I know what you are thinking! Crepes?  Really??? Yes! Really! The food is amazing!  We found La Creperie by accident! We were really going to go to the popular Snooze restaurant, but the wait was well over an hour, so we went across the street. (Mason & Mountain) There was a little wait, but it was well worth it!

We have been to La Creperie of Fort Collins 3 times now and each time I have ordered the Basic: egg, mushroom, Swiss, ham, bacon, tomato, and chives!  Pure deliciousness! I have wanted to order other things, but I can’t bring myself to do it! The Basic is basically awesome! This last time, my wife had the Basic Brie, which substitutes Brie for the Swiss. She loved it! She had also had one of the fruit crepes on one of our visits and let me eat off of her plate and we both thought it was incredible.

If you go, expect to wait a little to be seated.  There are very few tables! The kitchen is small and there is only one person cooking the galettes and crepes, but she is a magician with the griddle! If you are in a hurry, go to McDonalds. They are fast and good. If you want an incredible breakfast experience in a very charming café, check out La Creperie of Fort Collins.
