Today Keith Whitley Would Be Blowing Out 62 Candles on His Birthday Cake [VIDEO]

Today would be a very special day for country music fans. There should be a big party with tons of celebrities singing the praises and hits of a now 62 year old country legend named Keith Whitley. It would have been Mr. Whitley's birthday today but unfortunately Keith died from alcohol poisoning in 1989. I can only imagine the career he would have had and the celebration that should be going on today.

I was on the radio the day Keith died and it is one of those moments I will never forget. I just sat there in shock. He was about to be "The Voice" of country music. He influenced so many of today's stars and has left us with some amazing country songs. We miss you Keith and know that you are part of that incredible choir up above. Here are a few of my favs.
