Today Is Colorado Gives Day
Today is the second annual Colorado Gives Day! It's an effort aimed at raising donations for hundreds of nonprofits across the state. For 24 hours, you can give to the charity of your choice at GivingFirst.org. Processing fees are covered by corporate sponsorships, so 100 percent of donations will go to the charities.
Last year the event, which is sponsored by the Community First Foundation, raised $8.7 million for state charities. The goal last year was only $1 Million.
This year's event goes until midnight tonight.
FirstBank has provided $300,ooo for an Incentive Fund that will encourage others to give.
