Toby Keith Set to Pay Tribute to Merle Haggard: Nashville Minute

Toby Keith set to pay tribute to The Hag, Frankie Ballard is giving you a sneak preview of his latest album, and PBS goes country, here's your Nashville Minute.

Toby Keith will pay tribute to the late Merle Haggard during the upcoming American Country Countdown Awards. Matthew McConaughey will introduce the tribute, which will feature Haggard's longtime backup band, The Strangers, joining Toby on stage. The show will air on May 1st on Fox.

Frankie Ballard's third studio album, El Rio, doesn't drop until June 10, but Frankie is giving you a chance to listen to the new record a little early. At midnight last night (4/21), he began streaming the new album exclusively on Apple Music Connect for a full 24 hours.

Toby Keith, Jake Owen, and Old Dominion will be on the upcoming new season of PBS' series Soundstage. The new season will premiere with Toby's episode on April 28th. The episode will feature Toby performing some of his biggest hits and some from his latest album. The episode with Jake Owen and Old Dominion will air on May 19th.
