My neighbor and I were talking the other day about our sprinkler systems (it's what guys do in the Spring) and he said, "wait" and I said "wait my..."

Personally, I think anytime by mid March you are safe to fire up and charge your underground sprinkler systems. We may get more snow, even a good old fashioned blizzard may still be in our forecast, (though I highly doubt it) but even so, the temperatures will never be around freezing long enough to do any damage provided you wrap or insulate your exposed valves, if you have any.

For me though it's an official sign of Spring; the charging of the sprinkler system and getting all the hoses out and set. I am soooooooo ready. Fertilizers have already been applied and I am in full on new grass seed mode now.  Man, I love this time of year!
