Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have sold roughly 17 percent of the Tennessee farm they put up for sale in 2013. A Texas couple paid $3 million for 131 acres of land in Leiper’s Fork, Tenn. and plan to build a home there.

The Tennessean first reported the sale last week, adding that the remaining 621 acres are still for sale for $18.5 million and can be bought as a whole, or split into two parcels. Both parcels include homes and other buildings -- it does not seem that the purchased parcel includes any structures.

This home has country history beyond McGraw and Hill. Hank Williams once owned 400 acres of the 754-acre plot. One log cabin on the property dates back to the mid-19th century. There’s also a 12-stall barn with caretaker residence and an antebellum home called Beechwood Hall.

According to the Tennessean, the couple bought the property in separate transactions 13 years ago, paying a total of $13.75 million for both.

Leiper’s Fork is a small community just southwest of Nashville, near Franklin, Tenn. The official listing is at Fridrich and Clark Realty, LLC.
