Three Loveland schools were place on lockdown yesterday after reports of a gun in a high school student's car. Sarah Milner Elementary School, Walt Clark Middle School and Thompson Valley High School were placed on "secure the perimeter" status while Loveland Police Department school resource officers and patrol officers investigated the incident.

A student at Thompson Valley High School called the Loveland Police Department Thursday morning to report that another student had a gun in the trunk of his car on school property.

A school resource officer removed the student from class and found what turned out to be a BB gun from the trunk of the student's car. The 17-year-old student was transported to the Loveland Police Department for questioning.
