According to the Coloradoan if you're looking for a day where you may not want to make the trek into Fort Collins, Thursday may be that day you want to call in sick. Why?

Because students from Colorado State University make their trek back to the campus this week, which will be causing many delays in and around the city. Delays could be considerable along Laurel and Shields Streets.

While students started arriving over the weekend for the Fall semester, the big rush of students will come on Thursday when an expected 4500 students will be ready to descend onto campus. Colorado State University officials are expecting record breaking numbers for both first year and returning students.

The Coloradoan adds that close to 5000 extra vehicles could be in town on Thursday, with 8000 expected over the course of the week. When it's all said and done, and students are fully moved in over the weekend, officials expect close to 6200 students to move in this week.

On the CSU website, officials are also giving information on how to ease congestion this week, by asking students to put the "YOU in CSU". The website gives information on how to help other students in their move in efforts along with assisting parents of those who will be attending the school.

It will be a busy week for the school next week, as they welcome country artist Lee Brice to the school for RamFest on August 28th, which is also the same day the volleyball team opens their season versus Baylor.
