I am so honored that I get to see true love everyday. I get to see the love my grandchildren share with their pets. This is most pure, honest and beautiful love that you could witness. My grandson Zander just loves his dog Chevy. Chevy waits for him to arrive every single day from school and runs to greet him. They hug on the stairs and then start their day of companionship.

Human love is great but we try to do stupid things like talking and trying to figure life out. A pet will just sit around with you quietly and be near you. Zander knows his dog needs to be fed and watered and has taught him how to take care of something. That is a great skill to learn. I love watching these two play and the love they have for each other. I think all children who can, should own a pet. The love and lessons they receive are priceless. I can say that seeing a little one cuddled up to a four legged friend is priceless. If your life allows it, let your children experience the love of a pet.
