An increase of places robbed, more property stolen and a staggering 27.7 percent increase in stolen vehicles totaling 193,115. Across the state 172 homicides were reported. Pueblo had the highest rate with more than 11 per 100,000 residents. Aurora's homicide rate last year more than doubled from 2014 per a report from the CBI. Rapes also increased with a total of 3,275 reported to law enforcement. A 10.6% increase from 2014.

Every state is required to submit crime reports to the FBI. The FBI will then release a national crime report in the fall. Law enforcement in other states have reported homicide increases last year as well.
