If you're like I am, your heart is bigger than your checkbook. So, we find ways to give, like volunteering.
We support the agencies and organizations that tirelessly help people and animals in need. Because I have a truck and horse trailer, I'm able to help out by just hauling stuff...big stuff. For example, Walmart donates pallets of broken bags of dog and cat food to area animal shelters. I pick up the donations and deliver them to a rescue near Windsor called Denkai Animal Santuary. From there, the pet food is fed to the animals awaiting adoption and is also given to pet owners who are struggling financially. How cool is that!

At Christmas each year, I haul a horse to the police station where Santa Cops begins. We hook up the horse to a wagon full of 'Toys for Tots' and deliver them. My friend Katy, who lives in a wheelchair, drives the wagon and we crank up the Christmas music. That day is so much fun and I am so happy to be a small part of it. SO, until my oil well comes in, I can only offer my time, truck and trailer, and a big heart.
