Questions are obviously being raised about the Northern Colorado Honor Flight scheduled for this Sunday. I spoke with Board member Matt Voris this morning and at the time of this story, the escort and flight are still all systems go, but, that could very well change in the next 24 hours so please bookmark this story for any updates.IMPORTANT CHANGE IN THIS YEARS RIDE

In order to ride in the escort to DIA, you must attend both riders briefs and stand in the flag line. If you miss the briefings you will not be allowed to ride in the actual escort - no exceptions. The first brief will be held at 6:00 AM and the second briefing held by the Larimer County Sheriffs office will be held 15 minutes before departure. You DO NOT have to be an official PGR member but if you want to ride in the actual escort, you will need to follow the PGR protocol. (Mentioned above)

Let's hope Mother Nature gives 185 WWII, Korean War and those who have earned a Purple Heart from the Vietnam War a break for Sunday so they can make it to Washington D.C. to pay their respects at their memorials.

The Northern Colorado Honor Flight again leaves from the Embassy Suites in Loveland (4705 Clydesdale Parkway) this Sunday, September 15th.

The Patriot Guard Riders of Colorado, the official motorcycle escort for these honored Veterans, will be on site at 6:00 AM and the honorary flag line starts at 6:30 AM as the Veterans arrive. You do not have to be a member of the PGR to stand with your flag in the flag line.

The official escort ride will leave promptly at 8:30 AM for the escort to the Signature FBO hangar at DIA. This year is being done a bit different due to the accidents that happened on the last ride. ONLY the PGR and those who have been to both briefings (see above) will be allowed to ride in front of the Veterans buses...all other riders will follow BEHIND the buses this year to DIA.
