I did not get my first dog until I was in my late 20's. His name was Sinatra and he is still the best friend I ever had. I loved that dog and still do. I know he is still with me and I feel his presence whenever it snows. He loved the snow and loved jumping around in it. Even when he was old and could barely move, he would come to life when it snowed and would frolic like a puppy.

I am so happy that I get to watch my grandson Zander have that same relationship with his puppy Chevy. He has had Chevy since the day he was born and proudly calls Chevy HIS dog. He like to take him everywhere he goes to play. They do puzzles together, play in the yard or just sit and watch TV. I think it is so important for children to experience animals and get to feel the love you get together with them. I think it makes them better people. They have their days where they fight like brothers too but for the most part these 2 really love each other and I know that Zander's first love is four legged brown haired mutt who loves him back. Perfect!
