I want to take a minute to remind you of the importance of taking your daily meds. I am a diabetic with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, a heart condition and much more. I have a large array of pills and needles I need to use each and every day. I admit that at times I think I am Superman and don't need to take them. That is a mistake. I know that when I take them when I am supposed to, I feel much better. It seems so simple but sometimes it is hard to get yourself to take them all. You may think, "I feel fine and don't need them today" or just feel defiant and don't want to be tethered to medicine. I understand these feelings and battle them myself.

This year I have made a vow that I need to put myself first. I tend to put my family or jobs needs before mine and don't make my health a priority. I need to take care of me or I am no good for anyone else. I have not missed a pill or shot in weeks and feel great. You owe it to you and your loved ones to be the best you that you can be and that means taking your medicines. Join me and let's make us a priority for us and for those who need us.
