The Godfather of Barbecue is Coming to Northern Colorado

The Rock'n Western Rendezvous-Stock, Rock, and BBQ Festival is coming to the Ranch Events Complex May 30-31 and we'll be treated to the "Godfather of Barbecue", Johnny Trigg!

According to a press release, Trigg will be competing in the professional category of the Rendezvous BBQ competition on May 31st with his team known as the "Smoking Triggers". He is a two time Grand Champion of the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational and has been featured on the TLC show "BBQ Pitmasters".

Johnny Trigg was also inducted into the National Barbecue Hall of Fame by the American Royal Association in 2012.

He along with many others will be part of the first year event coming to the Ranch Events Complex May 30-31. There has never been an event of this kind in the state of Colorado and Northern Colorado will be welcoming it with open arms this month. BBQ teams will be judged in four different categories - chicken, ribs, brisket, and pork butt - on the Sunday of the event.

• Ribba-Ramma will be an amateur competition created for us local BBQ competitors! It happens Saturday, May 30th and local backyard grillers are encouraged to compete and have a chance to win $1000 in prize money. Click here to register!
