The Fort Collins Plaza Hotel Loses Liquor License

Google Maps

The future of the Plaza Hotel at the 1-25/Mulberry exchange looks as sad as it’s recent past. Yesterday, Larimer County commissioners voted 2-1 to deny the annual renewal of a liquor license for the hotel on East Mulberry St. based on problems outside of its restaurant and bar.

Commissioner Steve Johnson told the Fort Collins Coloradoan that renewing the liquor license for the hotel, which has been plagued for years with criminal activity, including prostitution and illegal drug use and sales, would be “absurd.” The hotel has not been cited for liquor-code violations in the past year.
