The Best Shows Ever At The Budweiser Events Center – Todd’s Top 5
We have seen seen some amazing shows at the Budweiser Events Center over the Years. We've seen everything from amazing concerts, to the Colorado Eagles winning a couple of titles, to the Harlem Globetrotters, to rodeo. I've probably seen 50 or 60 shows at the Bud Center over the past decade. Both Brian and I feel we may see the best show yet when Darius Rucker, Eli Young Band, and David Nail come town on Sunday. (3/9) I have come up with my top 5 shows at the Budweiser Events Center.
5. The New Year's Eve Extreme Rodeo
Although it's not one performance. I am lumping all the New Year's Eve Extreme Rodeos together as one. We have seen some great performances over the years and I have been there for almost all of them. It's still amazing to me that you can have ice hockey and rodeo on the same arena floor in the same weekend.
4.Bill Engvall
Bill Engvall has played the Budweiser Events Center a couple different times. It is very hard for a comedian to play a venue the size of the Bud Center. Bill had no problem keeping the crowd in the palm of his hands and in stitches.
3. Cirque du Soleil
My wife and I have seen Cirque du Soleil at the Bud Center a number of times, including Dralion, Varekai, and Quidam. The things those people can do is almost not human, but very entertaining. Any one of their shows could have made my top 5.
2. Miranda Lambert & Eric Church
Right after Miranda Lambert won Female Vocalist of the Year at the CMA Awards in 2010, she came to Loveland for the CMT Revolution Tour with Miranda and special guest Eric Church. As you can tell by the picture, she was exhausted, but she still but on a heck of a show. Some newcomer named Eric Church opened the show. Now he is the biggest deal in country music.
1. Martina McBride & Little Big Town
Back in 2007 Martina McBride came to the Budweiser Events Center with Little Big Town and Rodney Atkins. It's still one of my favorite shows I have ever seen. Nobody can sing like Martina. Nobody does harmony like Little Big Town and Rodney Atkins was the perfect opener. It's the best show I ever saw at the Bud Center.
A couple of honorable mentions go to the Disney on Ice shows and the Colorado Eagles. They always put on a good show, including a couple of Championships.
