Team Fort Collins Horsetooth Open Swim Registration On Now

According to a press release sent out by Team Fort Collins, registration for the Horsetooth Open Water Swim is going on now through August 20th for web registration. There will be race day registration available for the 2.4 mile and shorter races from 5:30 to 6:30 am at the South Bay Swim Beach at Horsetooth Reservoir.

Team Fort Collins is a nationally-recognized nonprofit community coalition which promotes a healthy lifestyle through education and awareness, preventing the abuse and illegal use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs among youth, their families and our community.

The release states that the following events are open to the public:

10K Swim (14 years and older), $85

Point-to-Point Swim, swimming the length of Horsetooth Reservoir - No wetsuit!

Each swimmer must be accompanied by a support craft and paddler.

Support craft & paddler will be arranged, for a fee, for the first 25 registrants paying for them.

All other swimmers must provide their own support craft and paddler.

Swimmers must (1) have swum this event previously OR (2) be approved by the race committee prior to registration.

Swimmers 13 to 18 years old must be approved by the race committee prior to registration.
