Teaching My Grandsons About The Classics – Brian’s Blog

The other day my I had to step out for a minute and when I returned my wife was sitting on the living room floor watching the original "Karate Kid" with the grand boys. She said she was going to have them watch some of the classics and show then the movies we loved as kids.

Most of the time when I pull out an old movie that I thought was great when I was a kid turns out to very non entertaining as I age. The "Porkys" trilogy just doesn't stand up to the test of time. The "Karate Kid" actually was still very entertaining and held Zander's attention all the way through. He liked it so much that this weekend I called him Zander and he said "I am not Zander, I am Daniel son." I laughed so hard. He also is working on his "wax on, wax off".

I had him watch some "Star Wars" awhile ago and he loved that too. I will see what he thinks of "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" next and see what he thinks of the pool scene...maybe I will wait a few years for that one.
