Who ever thought a winning season from the Houston Astros would force a mega famous singer to move a concert date. Postseason baseball in Houston? Really?

I have to admit I haven't been following baseball this year as I have in years past but the Houston Astros being in the playoffs had never crossed my mind. Let's face it, the Astros lost over 90 games in 2014 and 100+ in 2013, 2012 and 2011.

In fact, the last time they did anything of value in the postseason was 2005 when they did make the World Series and were then skunked 4-0 by the Chicago White Sox.

Still, you have to be optimistic, so when Taylor Swift booked an October show at Minute Maid Park last December, the Astros marked it with an asterisk in case they actually made it to the postseason in 2015.

Many laughed but they aren't laughing now.

The Houston Astros actually have a winning record of 55-45 at this point and only one game out of the American League West.

So, the team released a statement today saying the Taylor Swift show is now officially being bumped up to a September date so there would be no potential conflict. I find this admirable actually because they wanted to give her fans plenty of time to reschedule their plans.
