Country fans know that you don't get between Taylor Swift and her legion of Swifties. But, when there's political unrest, sometimes drastic measures have to be taken.

The singer canceled a sold-out show in Bangkok, Thailand, following a coup d'etat which took place last week, resulting in a military takeover.

Today, BEC-Tero, the concert promoter, announced that "due to recent events in Thailand," Swift's concert was canceled. However, the decision did not come easily, and the '22' hitmaker expressed her disappointment in not being able to see her fans in Thailand during her Red Tour.

Swift sent a sweet message to Thai Swifties, tweeting, "I'm sending my love to the fans in Thailand. I'm so sad about the concert being canceled."

The superstar has other performances throughout Asia during her current Red Tour, spanning June 4-12.

Swift is truly a worldwide sensation; she sold out the Shanghai’s Mercedes-Benz Arena (which seats approximately 12,000)  in one minute, breaking the record for fastest sell-out, and proving that she's certainly loved in Asia.
