Tanner Flores, accused of murdering ex-girlfriend Ashley Doolittle, made his first court appearance via webcam in Fort Collins on Monday.

Flores, 18, faces 2 counts of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree kidnapping; all charges carry a domestic violence sentence enhancement, the Loveland Reporter-Herald reports.

Both Doolittle's and Flores' families were present in the standing room-only courtroom on Monday, where 8th Judicial District Attorney Cliff Riedel said Flores was not entitled to a bond "unless there has been a written motion for an issue of bail alleging that proof is not evident."

According to the Reporter-Herald, public defense attorney Daniel Jasinski told the court he would file a motion regarding his bond, adding in his case for setting a bond that Flores has "an extremely supportive family and no prior criminal history."

Flores' second court appearance is scheduled for Thursday at 8:15 a.m.

The teen was transferred to Larimer County Jail on June 17 after he was initially taken into custody in Mesa County. He is accused of murdering ex-girlfriend Ashley Doolittle, 18, of Berthoud because he was "angry with her" on June 9. After shooting her twice in the head with his father's .22-caliber revolver, Flores drove her body to Mesa County where he was arrested at his late grandfather's ranch in Collbran.
