I know this isn't a big deal to many, but it is for me. It's not everyday a guy gets to fulfill a dream but I have been lucky enough to see one of mine come true.

A little over a year ago, I found myself in a position where I needed a second job just to make ends meet. I figured if was going to have to work a second job, I was going to do something I have wanted to do for decades; drive a semi!

Mark Neuerburg, who is a dear friend of mine, was driving for C&H Solutions out of Ault which is owned by Cliff and Heather Simpson. Mark had mentioned to the trucking boss, Jeremy Faulk, that I wanted to learn how to drive a truck. Turns out that Jeremy knew me from the radio station and has been listening to K99 since he was in high school. Jeremy was all for the idea and I was asked to come out for an interview, and as they say, the rest was history.

I've had my CDL now for a little over a year with all the endorsements you can get and just love being one of the Kings of the Road. I was born to do this and all the stop signs and mailboxes are still intact that I have passed.

In fact, my new motto is, "No insurance claims have been filed in the making of this truck driver." You know, I may even get a t-shirt made!

This was some of the fun I had today. I decided to run the GoPro so you could ride along but I won't tell you where we went as I will let you figure that part out. The load we're hauling are oversize tank panels headed for an oil rig if that gives you any kind of a hint.
