Over the weekend we went a fun little cruise up the mountains with our friends Bob and Wendy and had a blast. One of the fun parts of the drive was listening to some old tunes we used to jam to 'in the day' and it sure brought back some great memories.

We were singing our lungs out to Dan Seals, Hal Ketchum, Ricky Van Shelton and more. It made me want to take a trip back in the time machine today and see what the top 5 songs were 25 years ago today. I Googled the Billboard Country Chart from this week a quarter of a century ago and this is what I found. Here are the top 5 from 25 years ago today from 5 to 1 in order. Let that mullet flow with pride and enjoy.

5. Mark Chesnutt - Old Flames Have New Names

4. Hal Ketchum - Past the Point of Rescue

3. Garth Brooks - Papa Loved Mama (had to use a cover version, you can't find the original video)

2. Sawyer Brown - Some Girls Do

1. Brooks & Dunn - Neon Moon
