It has now been about 4 months since petitions regarding the Westboro Baptist Church were started on the White House's website, and there has been no response from President Obama. The original petition to "Legally recognize Westboro Baptist Church as a hate group" went up on December, 14, 2012 and needed 25,000 signatures by January, 13, 2013 to warrant a response from the president.
Just like you, we anxiously anticipate a response from president Obama regarding the petitions filed against the Westboro Baptist Church. When a response is issued, we'll place it here immediately for all to see, and we have e-mailed the administration inquiring about a response. In the mean time here's what we found out about when a response might be issued.

January 21, 2013 It was only a week after the Sandy Hook school shooting before America's Most Hated Family showed up to picket funerals. It's what they do; twist the Constitution and Freedom of Speech to legally picket funerals of soldiers and children. No other hate group in the country would be allowed to do this, so why do we let the Wetburro Baptist Church do it? Even their signs preach "Hate." But now the White House has changed the rules.

September 15, 2011 Back in early June 2011, myself and 3 friends took a historic ride to Topeka KS and expressed our right of free speech on the doorstep of the WBC or "they" as I call them. {Westboro Baptist Church.} You know who I'm talking about; those whack jobs who think picketing a funeral is Ok. Well, I decided enough is enough and was going to express my right of free speech on their sidewalks under the same 1st amendment "they" use. Come to find out, there are thousands who feel the same way. On June 11th, 2011, Journey 4 Justice was born due to the outcry of support and people from all over the country wanting to do the same thing. Read the original article that spawned a group here. And in just 3 short months, we have already changed the way "they" do things and it's time others take notice and during our 2011 National Rally, the City of Topeka did just that! September 14, 2011 Many have asked how the Journey 4 Justice National Rally went last weekend and all I can say is it was a huge success. I am feverishly working on a complete and thorough blog with a TON of incredible pictures and some video I think you will all enjoy and it will be done by Friday at the latest.
July 18, 2011 I thought it was time to do an update on all that has happened since my epic ride out to Topeka, Kansas on June 5 of this year to visit the Westboro Baptist Church. The aftermath has truly been unbelievable and all by accident. I mean, who would have thought in a million years that four guys from Colorado would start a movement that is almost 2,000 members strong right now and still growing and spawned a group called Journey 4 Justice?

June 10, 2011 I wanted to post this blog for many reasons but the main one was to thank the thousands of people who have commented from literally all over the world through Facebook, websites and the blog. I also want to make sure everyone see's the original blog I did that spawned the idea back in early March. I also wanted to take the time to introduce in more detail the guys who rode with me, "Team Colorado" and also share some information about the WBC you may or may not know if you choose to do what we did.
